1. Information We Do Not Collect

When you use any calculator or interactive tool on enetko, the figures you provide (including but not limited to loan amounts, interest rates, property values, personal income, and tax rates) are processed purely in local memory by client-side JavaScript.

• We do not transmit your computational inputs to our web servers or any external APIs while you calculate.
• If you use a "Share link" button, the values you entered are written into that link's address. The link is yours to pass on; whenever anyone opens it, their browser requests that address from our server, so it appears in our standard server logs (see Section 4). Our analytics removes the query string from the page address before recording it (see Section 5).
• We do not maintain user accounts or profiles containing financial history.
• We do not record keystrokes, clipboard exports, or generated PDF reports.

2. Local Storage and Client Preferences

To improve usability, enetko may use your browser's local storage (localStorage) to store:

• UI Preferences: Visual theme selection (Light, Dark, or System) and preferred default currency code (e.g., USD, EUR, UAH).
• Last-Entered Values: The values you last entered in each calculator, including its currency, are saved automatically in your browser so the calculator can reopen where you left off. They stay on your device unless you choose to share a link (see Section 1).
• Rating Token: A random, anonymous token generated in your browser, and a per-calculator "already rated" marker. They are used only so the rating feature can recognise that a vote comes from the same browser and to prevent duplicate votes (see Section 3).
• Calculation History: Recent calculations are recorded automatically on your device so you can resume previous comparisons. This history is stored exclusively on your device and can be erased instantly at any time by clicking "Clear History" in the calculator or clearing your browser cache.

3. Tool Ratings & Abuse Prevention (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f))

When you voluntarily submit a 1-to-5 star rating for any calculator, our infrastructure processes the request to maintain aggregate community quality metrics. To prevent duplicate submissions, our backend computes a one-way SHA-256 hash from the calculator slug and your browser's random token (visitorToken). No browser headers and no IP address are part of that hash.

We do not store your raw IP address in our persistent PostgreSQL database. To limit automated spamming, your IP address is held in temporary cache memory as a short-lived rate-limiting key (maximum 10 minutes) and then discarded. As with every request to our site, your IP address is also present in standard server logs (see Section 4). This processing is carried out under our legitimate interest under GDPR Article 6(1)(f) in keeping the rating feature accurate.

4. Technical Server Logs and Infrastructure

Like almost all websites, our hosting infrastructure automatically receives standard technical web traffic requests necessary to deliver the site's static HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and image assets. These server logs may include your IP address, browser type, referring page, and operating system timestamp. These logs are used strictly for network security, preventing Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks, and diagnosing server health, and are retained only for standard security retention windows. Because a request includes the full address, these logs contain any query string that is part of the requested address, including the values embedded in a shared calculator link.

enetko is served through Cloudflare, a reverse proxy and content delivery network. Cloudflare processes each request to the site, including your IP address and request headers, in order to deliver pages and to protect the site against abuse and attacks. Cloudflare acts as our infrastructure provider; see Cloudflare's own privacy policy for how it handles this processing.

5. Website Analytics

We use a self-hosted installation of Umami, an open-source web analytics tool, to understand in aggregate which pages are used and how the site performs. It runs on our own server, and no third-party analytics provider receives this data.

What is recorded for each page view: the page address without its query string; the referring page, also without its query string; the page title; your browser's language; your screen size; and, worked out on our server from the request itself, your browser, operating system, device type (desktop, tablet or mobile) and approximate location (country, and possibly region or city). We do not enable Umami's performance-measurement option and we do not assign visitors any custom identifier. The values you type into calculators are not recorded.

How visits are told apart: the analytics script sets no cookies and writes nothing to your browser storage. Umami creates a session identifier on the server by combining your IP address and browser user agent with a secret value (a salt) and hashing them; your IP address is used for that hashing and for the country lookup and is not stored by Umami. The resulting hash is a pseudonymous identifier, not anonymous data, and it is used only inside our analytics.

Your choices: the script honors your browser's Do Not Track signal; when it is on, no analytics data is sent. You can also block the script with a content blocker, and the site works the same without it.

This processing is carried out under our legitimate interest under GDPR Article 6(1)(f) in understanding aggregate usage and improving the site.

6. Cookies and Third-Party Advertising

The only cookie enetko sets itself is a single first-party functional cookie named NEXT_LOCALE, set when you first visit the site and used solely to remember your interface language across visits. It stores only a language code (for example, en or uk), is never shared with third parties, and contains no tracking or advertising identifier. Because it is strictly necessary to deliver the site in your chosen language, it is exempt from prior consent requirements under the EU ePrivacy Directive.

Our CDN provider (Cloudflare, see Section 4) may set strictly necessary security cookies to protect the site against abuse. Beyond these, enetko does not deploy advertising cookies, third-party cookies, cross-site trackers, or advertising pixels. The analytics described in Section 5 sets no cookies. We believe financial tools should remain free from advertising surveillance.

7. Data Controller & Global Privacy Rights (GDPR Art. 13 & CCPA)

Under Article 13 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the designated Data Controller responsible for enetko is:

Because our computational architecture does not collect your calculation inputs or financial records, and we do not sell personal data, your right to be forgotten and your right to data erasure are satisfied by design. You have complete sovereignty over your local browser data: clearing your browser's site data completely removes all stored preferences.

8. Policy Updates & Contact

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect enhancements to our toolset or infrastructure. The "Effective Date" at the top of this page will reflect the most current revision.
